The FEHA(Fair Employment and Housing Act) is part of the Civil Code, found in Division 2 of the California Government Code. The Private Attorney General Act of 2004 is a California labor law that allows for civil penalty assessments when certain labor code violations are committed. The law was passed to address the inability of the Department of Labor's Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE) to enforce certain laws due to limited funding and resources.
